Ruth E. Carter

Ruth E. Carter is a legendary costume designer who’s made a named for herself by combining celebratory African cultures with emerging technologies. Her career gained notoriety through collaboration with renowned director Spike Lee. Her costumes feel deep and authentic with just the right amount of flair.  Her use of new technology like 3D printing mixed with traditional techniques like beaded embroidery highlights craft in a way like no other. Her most notable works include doing the costuming for The Black Panther movies and more recently, Sinners.
